CV: Sylvain Chambon
Well, you can guess it, if I'm writing this, it's because I'd like to volunteer to take part in the Maskerade movie project. So here goes:- I live a few kilometers too many away from the shoot to be physically present, unless it's kept short (about two weeks), which is unlikely. I can arrange punctual (read: weekend-long) trips to UK, though, if they're not too numerous.
- I have no artistic talent or abilities whatsoever. I can't and won't act, draw, compose music or sing. Or edit, cut, manage sound, ..., in post. And no, I don't want to review the script either :-)
- The amount of time I can devote to Maskerade, the movie, although not null by far, is small.
- I have some experience in very, very amateurish moviemaking: a couple of films made with friends. In both cases I co-wrote the script, co-directed in a way, and generally made things happen (usually by the simple expedient of talking at people until shooting happened) and smoothed out things that were going bad, providing on-the-spot answers to unforseen problems, kind of thing. Given that the first film was frankly crap and the second a spectacular failure as far as organisation was concerned[1], I'm not sure this is worth much, except that I now definitely know how *not* to shoot a film.
After much perusal of David Sander's list, well, I can't find a role that would suit those constraints. The closest would be production manager, but I won't have the time to fulfill this role. I'm therefore just making an act of "generic volunteerosity" -- I will gladly help as much as I can, but I'm afraid that is not so much.
